Rome Marathon

And when I went to college then, that's when I packed up the GA and started drinking a few pints instead.

And then I probably found running... probably four years ago now i'd say i got dragged along to rome to do the rome marathon and i would have clipped away with maybe a run or two a week maybe 15 or 20k this is probably before i even had strava i'd say um didn't know what a marathon was i said ara if my buddy keen or tuna as they call him um can do it i'll do it so went along to rome and struggled through um my first marathon and I was like, I can do better than that.

Like this is some of those, like I really got my real taste right there.

We have Marathon actually as well.

It was running Barossa with my brothers, Luke and Daniel.

It's the running in random locations where the initial plan of the Rome Marathon came from with Marius.

It's the Tuesday morning group.

It's the community on a Saturday once a month that catches up for a social run and a beer after it.

So anyway, I've spent a lot of time in Rome.

But the Rome Marathon does not coincide with the Temple Spring Break.

In the spring of 2004, I was invited to teach basic acts at Harvard.

And it turned out that Harvard Spring Break coincided perfectly with the Rome Marathon, which is at the end of April.

And I went to Rome, and it was a fantastic experience.

It begins and ends at the Colosseum.

And then I was invited...

Part of the meeting, there was a few other people from other races, and we started talking, me and the race director of the Rome Marathon.

He said the same thing.

Look, there's no European Marathon circuit.

great.

So I want to see how much you are able to share about the friction part, because I'm always very interested in, you know, you have an idea.

So you had a chat with the race director of the Rome Marathon team.

And that way it took root.
