Roman Morello

And Tom Morello has a new album out, a solo album, and he played on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Soldier in the Army of Love.

And his son, Roman Morello, who's 15, plays guitar on it as well.

So tribute to some Italian Americans here that are still making music too.

And I think that's probably a good kick to Christian because he has a lot of that kind of stuff on his list.

But the idea was to make a heavy record.

And, and my muse for this record was my 15-year-old son, Roman Morello, who's now toured with me for the last three summers.

He's, you know...

I would be with my ear to his door, poaching, uh, his best riffs, uh, for this record, and he, he was c- he contributed to five songs on the record.

And we just got done with a, a run of shows, and I've never been more excited or happier playing music and writing music than I am right now.

Which, uh, which moments, which riffs are his on the record?

[laughs] Uh, let's see.

If I-- Uh, "Soldier in the Army of Love," "Adjournet," the song with, uh, Serj Tankian.

It's so cool.

Uh, so yeah, again, I do wanna highlight Tom Morello's son, Roman Morello.

This is how good he is at guitar.

[rock music]

They're like, "Oh my God, Ozzy's an occultist," right? And so it was interesting to see him pick a song that was super controversial at the time and then play War Pigs, which is super pertinent.

And, um, the guitarist for that set was Tom Morello's son, Roman Morello, and he was unbelievable.

Like, he's, like, 15 years old, and he's already better than Tom Morello, his dad.

No way.
