Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix

But...

Yeah, so today, just looking at this document that Bishop Olmsted wrote, and he delivered specifically to the men of the Diocese of Phoenix, but obviously it applies to Catholic men everywhere.

If we just start from the title into the preach, there's just so much meaning and depth behind it that we could really dive into deeper, but we won't touch on it too much.

But as a fun fact, Father Dom, I wanted to relay to our audience that So, Into the Breach was actually originally, you know, like military language, which I'll talk about in a second, but it kind of became famous from Shakespeare, from his play Henry V.

I want to actually quote Bishop Olmsted when he talks about the purpose of this exhortation.

And he says, I offer this exhortation as an encouragement, a challenge and a calling forth to mission for every willing man.

He says in the Diocese of Phoenix, but for everyone, priests and deacons, husbands, fathers and sons, grandfathers and widowers, young men in preparation for your vocation.

That is each and every man.

We don't know what all of their backgrounds were.

My favorite is when I worked at the Diocese of Phoenix, our vicar general, he came out of being an emergency room nurse.

So he knew how to deal with crisis.

He was cool, calm, and collected.

Father, you're doing that as well in your area.

I'm doing the rosary celebration in my area in the Diocese of Phoenix.

This has been just an exciting episode and a great time to remind everybody that this is Rosary Month.

October is Rosary Month, so we just love that.

And so Saturday, October 10th, we have a musicians' retreat day, um, led by national composer Ri-Ryan Everson.

He's also a seminarian for the Diocese of Phoenix.

So he's flying in today, and I'm actually picking him up, and we're, we're, um, excited to have him.

He's gonna give some keynotes for musicians and people who just appreciate music.
