Rolex GMT Master II

I have one of our shared pieces on the wrist.

So I have the Rolex GMT Master II, affectionately known as the Pepsi in this iteration.

It is back on the Jubilee bracelet.

I have a nice chunky cardigan on this evening and just felt good.

Yeah.

Uh, we have, somebody is going to leave wine watches and wheels with a beautiful Rolex GMT to the Batman.

Right.

Um, and so I would like to, that, that event is sold out again.

You know, that watch worn every day in every situation you would, you know, would leave you with nothing left to want.

And so this is the utilitarian question and it produces a very different kind of list, right? Maybe the Rolex GMT Master II comes up and it comes up constantly here because it's a tool watch and it has quietly become one of the most versatile collectors watches or the most versatile collector's object i guess in the world it tells you know time and two time zones it is sized correctly for most wrists and it has enough history and enough market consensus to hold its value across decades and you can wear it to a job interview but you can also wear it to a camping trip on a drive to a funeral to a wedding and it doesn't demand the room understand it it just is And again, in the locker room episode, for example, I use the Submariner as kind of the test case for originality and value.

And the GMT is in that same conversation from a slightly different angle.

It's the one watch for people who believe the question has the correct answer.

Just what were we talking [laughs] we were talking about? Um, 'cause I mentioned the brand Rolex.

A dear friend who's very, very, very into, uh, Rolex watches, uh, [laughs] no names, no pack drill, uh, sent a photograph of one, uh, that is available at a price, and it's a Rolex GMT Master.

What's called a GMT Master? But it's m- too, which is made up of Everose gold and a whole lot of, uh, uh, diamonds and different, um, uh, pieces in it.
