But my partner there, that was Pabu.

I mean, he had a restaurant in Rohnert Park and it was called Hana and you go in and it's in a strip mall and all the chefs are eating there.

And he was the most delightful human being.

And just a great, you know, great at his crafting and just, you know, well, you're not gonna, I, I'm not, I, other people made, I couldn't, would not say that I could go open a Japanese restaurant and bring the right culture to it, especially back then without the education, without the spirit and everything else.

well a double feature would be we used to go to Empire Cinemas here in Rohnert Park and Rohnert Park would have double features almost exclusively I think that's all it would do and they were always the movies that were on their way out of the United Artists like UA6, UA5 the ones that were on their main run so this is back before streaming this is back when there was a dead period between a movie's release and it's release in the theater and it's release on VHS And so Empire Cinemas was sort of like a purgatory where you could watch these movies that had already been, you know, they'd already run their course.

And you could do it less expensive.

Much less expensive.

But the town actually punches rather far above its weight, especially in terms of IP, as it's the home of Charles Schulz, of Peanuts comic strip fame, and also the Red River Brewing Company, which is a humongously famous microbrewery on the Pacific coast.

Dropping back down to single track again, the DMU passes another spur and a few non-rail served industries, and then serves Ronert Park with a gauntlet track going the other way this time, so the DMU is on the diverging track, although I think this is the slightly more uncommon variety on Smart.

And then a little while later at Cotati Station, the DMU platform is actually integrated with the original Northwestern Pacific train depot.

I think this is honestly just so fascinating and goes to show how tightly related DMU transit is with the passenger trains of the past.

It's great.

What's really crazy to me is that they're from Rohnert Park, and I don't know anything about them.

I'm surprised that you guys haven't.
