And just think of the matchups they had when they unified the world with the ROH World Championship and the Pure Championship in that match.

That, a brutal ending, may I add.

A very brutal fucking ending to that match.

Kofi and Lee Moriarty speak to Renee.

Renee was backstage moments before the opening contest, joined by AEW World Trios Champion Kofi and Austin Creed, as well as ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor Promotions.

Tonight, Kofi would be making his singles debut in AEW, stepping into the ring with ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty.

Renee asked Kofi what he was expecting.

On Collision, Lee Moriarty fought Kofi in a non-title match.

Kofi put over Lee backstage, who crowed about being ROH Pure Champion for 800 days, saying Kofi needed to prove himself to him, not the other way around.

So it was a randomly created match that had no juice until after it was already booked, and they created juice 30 seconds before the bell.

Why not open the show with this segment, make the match, and then run the match later? Why is that so difficult? Solid overall.

But to me, I thought there was some doubt as to who was going to win the qualifier tonight.

But with all, uh, love to Lee Moriarty, how he is presented on AEW is different than how he is presented as the ROH Pure Champion in ROH, and Mike Bailey, uh, will almost certainly, uh, without a doubt beat Lee Moriarty and be in this.

I would love for the six, well, I guess 14, uh, guys who are in the qualifying matches to, to be, I honestly don't know, pick 'em.

It's very much like the Ring of Honor.

We'll talk about two incredible ROH title matches.

We're going to talk about a pure title match.

It's also amazing.

We got the tag team titles were vacated last month because Dan Moff got in a car accident.

Samoa Joe, at this point, he's lost the world title and he's seeking to win all of the titles in Ring of Honor.

He wants to be the first one to ever do that.

So to win the tag team titles, Would be that first step, I guess, unless it was winning the pure title who is, you know, currently being worn by his buddy.
