I didn't see this before, but this has came on my, across my lap just today.

Uh, new details on the scrap Rogue Squadron movie have emerged.

Uh, JD, uh, Dillard Devotion worked on a script with Matt Owens from Luke Cage and One Piece before Lucasfilm bought on, uh, Patty Jenkins.

After Jenkins left, so Tay if you're wondering if they tried to make more of it, they did.

Rick Famuyiwa was going to showrun a Rogue Squadron Disney+ series with, uh, Raena McAleenan from Obi-Wan Kenobi New Jedi Order.

This was presumably set during the New Republic era.

So there you go.

And this is something.

Rogue Squadron was a movie that everybody was kind of happy about when it was announced.

This was supposed to be a new Jedi Order film.

Plus you have the Rogue Squadron movie.

By Patty Jenkins, that also got shelved.

And there's a lot of talk that perhaps what we're seeing in Starfighter might be a portion of what we were supposed to see in Rogue Squadron.

And what we're seeing with this new Star Wars trilogy may be lifting from some of the elements of what was supposed to be this Daisy Ridley-led new Jedi Order film.

But it just makes sense to me that there is a tremendous amount of excitement and confidence that what Sean Levy has created with Starfighter and Ryan Gosling is going to be a massive success.
