Rogue River

Slowly the serried mountains iron out into gentler slopes dimpled with meadows, and here and there are homes and cultivated fields, and steepish roads of many ruts.

Then the rushing Rogue River is a companion for a space, and orchards and towns dot the wayside.

More rough country follows, the Rogue and the Umpqua are left in turn, and the rails bear you to the regions of the Willamette.

A broad valley, rich, prosperous, and beautiful to look upon is the Willamette, and a valley of many moods.

She was very upset and distraught.

On June 29, 2020, Fauna was spotted at the Umpqua Bank in Rogue River, Oregon, and withdrew $200.

There's also apparent CCTV footage showing Fauna leaving the Super 8 Hotel on June 29, 2020, between 8.30 a.m. and 9 a.m. with all of her bags.

Inside Edition reported that Fauna had a reservation at the We Ask Who Inn, but never showed up.

She's seen wearing a neon green and purple pullover and is shopping alone.

8.35 a.m. on the 29th, video shows Fauna leaving her hotel room at the Super 8 in Grants Pass.

11.44 a.m. that same morning, $200 cash withdrawn from the Umpqua Bank in Rogue River.

1236 p.m., Big Five purchase of $250.77. 235 p.m. on that day, Fauna made a reservation at Weaskoo Inn.

... until a vision board exercise at work landed a photo of a canoe and a map of the Boundary Waters right at the center of it.

The next day, an old friend posted about running a kayak school on the Rogue River in Oregon, and she took it as a sign.

Or they run them in very particular spots and run an aluminum boat.

Like, most of the guys that I worked with You know, we'd run our wood boats on the middle for it.

And then, you know, come Rogue River season, they would run aluminum boats.

Yeah.

If you're on the Rogue River and they have a lot of half pounders that are fish that are 14 to 18, maybe a big one would be 20 inches, then a seven weight would be fine.

I know people from Sheemans, lighter line weights, but then what happens if you hook a real big one, you know?

And then we do one over by the Table Rocks, which shows you the Rogue River, a bit of wine country down towards kind of Gold Hill and then over back around Jacksonville.

And that one you could leave from here or also we can meet people at Millionaire, the FBO at the airport there.

Idaho for our honeymoon had to be abandoned, as three weeks was the longest vacation period we could ring from a soulless bond house.

But not even Idaho could have brought us more joy than our 75-mile trip up the Rogue River in southern Oregon.

We hired an old buckboard and two ancient, almost immobile so-called horses.

They needed scant attention.

With provisions, gun, rods, and sleeping bags, we started forth.

The woods were in their autumn glory, the fish were biting, corn was ripe along the roadside, and apples, Rogue River apples, made red blotches under every tree.

Help yourselves, the farmer would sing out, or would not sing out.

It was all one to us.

It's like a sports car.

Um, and he goes down this portion of the Rogue River in Southern Oregon every year.

It's a four-day trip, camping, cooking outside, and he goes by himself, and he talks about it as his spiritual practice.

So when I'm away on retreat, he's like, "Me too.
