But yeah, we did have a lot in common, comedy-wise, certainly.

And also the other big one, massive one for all of us was Nuts in May, the Mike Lee with Roger Sloman and Alison Stedman, which is just a brilliant study in comedy in a way that's like very now, but wasn't then.

And it was so fly on the wall.

A study in a truthful character that's hysterically funny, but deeply tragic.

And this is a big film for me and my partner.

in a specific way, because it's about this couple, and, uh, Keith and Candice Marie, played by Roger Sloman and Alison Steadman.

And he is, uh, he is a nightmare of a man in some ways.

It's come out on a limited edition Blu-ray by BFI, limited edition for the 34-page booklet, which it comes with some great new essays.

This one follows Keith, played by Roger Sloman... and Candice Marie, who arrive at Dorset Campground for 10 Nights of Bliss.

The problem is there's other people there.

So essentially we follow these two characters as they are very particular about the way they like to do things and just want some peace and quiet, but others turn up to try and stop that.

And they also come across some of the locals as well who are very different.

So we essentially get a really beautiful shot on location, play for today from 1976, that plays with social mores and different, a bit of class divide, but very much the way people feel about the world and that they feel they are right.

no more so than roger sloman's character so he very much is a mansplainer he thinks that he knows right he would much rather go to a place like corf castle it's all set and filmed in dorset where corf castle is and explain the history of it without actually looking at corf castle whereas alison steadman's character wants to actually enjoy the world be a bit in the moment so that so also we get a divide between the two that frequently the cracks frequently show throughout um it's Basically, a comedy that feels a bit like an elongated comedy sketch.

And it had me genuinely, I could not stop laughing, Steve, throughout.
