Roger McGough

It is with the musician or the instrument that I start with that thought.

So it was like, who do I want to write for now? And also to do with the pandemic, Roger McGough, wonderful poet, who's actually a friend, sent me a poem that he wrote during the pandemic called When It's Over.

And I just immediately felt that this was a song that needed a sort of light kind of jazz voice rather than a big classical operatic voice.

And I'd just been talking to a sound healer.

I suppose that reflects my interest.
