Roger Englander

I met him on my birthday, August 25th.

We met in Washington, D.C. at Wolf Trap, and the National Symphony was doing a concert of his music and a celebration, and the producer of the show and the director, Roger Englander, who did all of his young people's concerts and directed the most important things on television and classical music at that time, he asked me to be the score reader, which means...

He has all the camera markings in the score, but I had to follow the score while the orchestra was playing so that he would know when to change the camera angle, when to change the camera, all of those things.

And so anyway, it was an exciting time, and I met Lenny on that date, the 25th at 12 noon.
