Patricia Arquette's narration of that, which I think is Roger Avery added all that in when they made the film.

And then they're like, ah, we want, you know, we're de-Tarantino-ing a lot of this instead of like making it more traditional.

And we need someone, we need narration to kind of straighten it out.

I, uh, my hope is that, like, one day either Roger or someone else gets the chance to bring it to fruition, 'cause I do think it'd make a great series as well.

It would make a great series, but I think it would be one of those dream projects where you'd need no interference.

That was the inspiration for the movie adaptation of the game Silent Hill.

In researching the different elements of Silent Hill, screenwriter Roger Avery came across the town of Centralia, Pennsylvania, an, uh, almost abandoned town with a 40-year-old coal fire, coal fire still burning underneath it.

Centralia planted the seed for what developed into the cinematic version of the town of Silent Hill.

Uh, the waterfall in the beginning of the film is the Devil's Punch Bowl in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, AKA WWE wrestler Ethan Page's hometown, and where the first ever Royal Rumble took place in 1988.

We are going to do one very under the radar movie and we're going to pair it with a big movie.

So we're going to be talking about 1994's Killing Zoe, which is written and directed by Roger Avery.

who is a cohort and acquaintance of Quentin Tarantino.

And we are going to pair it with what we both think is a Quentin Tarantino movie that really deserves to kind of be celebrated on the level of other movies he's done.

And then I also have, like, vivid me- memories of, I don't know if you remember this, but Apple had, like, their trailers section, like movie trailers on their website.

Mm-hmm.

And I used to go through those as a kid, like, b- kind of before YouTube had them, and watch every single trailer and bookmark them, and then be like, "Dad, I wanna see these." And so I really was lucky to grow up with, like, a dad that, like, fostered it and would drive me like an hour and a half, two hours to go s- to a theater that actually was showing it.

Or just also people that, like, loved making movies and would explain to me, like, answer any question no matter how silly it might have seemed.

Yeah, you have to be kind of skeptical of everything that you see, I guess, online, which sucks.

Ben Affleck just sold some fucking AI studio and Roger Avery's doing an AI Jesus film.

And A24 just signed that deal as well, didn't they? Yeah, I think

yeah, this is a lot of films to come out, right? This is like four, five films coming out that weekend in wide release.

I've not heard from him in a while.

Well, it was very interesting that he and Roger Avery went on Joe Rogan recently.

And that was a very revelatory podcast because not only did, I mean, Roger Avery, who's a co-writer of Pulp Fiction, the co-producer, I guess, of Pulp Fiction, he said and revealed a lot more than Quentin did in the interview from what I saw.

But, you know, Avery basically just pointed out that Hollywood is a cult.

They do predictive programming.

It's revelation of the method, all the stuff that you hear me talking about.

Roger Avery laid it all out in that Joe Rogan interview, I want to say maybe three or four months ago.

Maybe even sooner, maybe one month ago, forget it.
