and cup and him are like master and apprentice man like i actually prefer the movie to g1 g1's kind of boring now when i look back on it like in comparison i know kyle's gonna hate me saying that but uh it is freaking boring like comparison when the the movie uh came out and then we moved into like this these newer characters galvatron and all that sort of stuff no it was pretty cool it's a bit more sci-fi even though it's sci-fi already i mean it was just taking a bit notch you know but yeah so we had that running and then boris dumps out macros and i was like this new show you know and it's still good to this day and you know i'm somebody that loves both i love robotech i mean i it without robotech uh in particular i wouldn't have um you know fallen in love with japanese animation the way i have you know and in particular a lot of that 80s animation was from japan you know like revoiced um we'll talk about voltron in a sec because voltron amazing too but robotech really grabs you because of the way the characters were written Now, that goes back to the original forms of these, which is, of course, so it's three unrelated, but made by Tassaduca Productions, so the same amount, and that is, of course, Macross, Southern Cross, or Super Dimensional Southern Cross Cavalry.

So moving on to their last panel, and that was they teased...

Fans Toys is teasing a Rodimus Prime.

And I thought they already had one, but maybe not.

So whatever.

The camera zooms over, revealing Blur, RC, Ultra Magnus, and Hot Rod, as well as Optimus Prime laying on this presumably medical bed.

And as the shot continues, we see Perceptor in microscope mode, looking him over as Daniel runs to Optum's prime side.

Perceptor transforms, and before he gives this grave news, the look on his face, like, I mean, the...

So all Perceptor can do is just look him over with his microscope and say, yep, there is a giant gaping hole in this guy's side and there's nothing I could do and he's going to die.

But as I said before, I got all wound up there.

I love this little bit of melancholy animation where Hot Rod leans in.

Ultra Magnus kind of like turns.

I think Ultra Magnus had already existed and they weren't necessarily hoping that that would replace Optimus Prime.

I think it's more because at the end of the movie, Hot Rod turns into Rodimus Prime.

And I think that is what's meant to be.

That's a horrible name.

It's so good.
