Looks like Flash Thompson is on the run.

He's suspected of being the Hobgoblin and was inadvertently involved in a jailbreak, so now both Hobbie and the cops are looking for him.

He wants to find Spidey, but sadly, but fairly, is too scared to leave his hiding place to do so.

Spidey is looking for Flash as well, but doesn't find him.

Meanwhile, Peter meets MJ at the offices of Kingsley Limited, where she's working as a model.

But when his Spider-Sense triggers, he can't look into it as MJ appears for lunch, and he promised to give up heroing.

In a secret room, the Hobgoblin bullies Roderick Kingsley into making new weapons to fight Spider-Man, while Kingsley plans how to protect himself from Hobbie.

At lunch, MJ is proud of Peter for alerting the Avengers about the villains, just to hear a news report about the mansion being attacked from Avengers number 274.

Right.

And just to kind of go through the plot lines that we're juggling right now, we've got hell gate, hell, Hobgoblin, whatever's going on with Norman Osborn right now.

I mean, I guess that's being covered in Spiderversity.

Sure.

It's just a thing.

How many more things am I tracking? And it's not that I can't track it or that Joe Kelly's not doing a great job of interweaving them together.

Like an issue like this shows that a lot of these things that I've mentioned are interconnected, right? Hobgoblin is connected to Griffin, which is connected to damage control, like who have come into contact with Kintsugi.

Like he's got built an interconnected web, which is a great feeling.

It's nice to see Magic.

It's nice to see, uh, Hobgoblin.

Like [laughs]

Yeah, [laughs] Green Goblin.

There's characters like, uh, Silvermane, Cardiac.

Hobgoblin hasn't been done yet.

So, I mean, there's very few left, and I know there have been a lot of fans complaining that Tom hasn't gotten enough of his own villains in his movies.

I call bullshit on it, but I can kinda see where the argument is coming from.

Goblin.

Um, his, uh, actual first name is Joseph, but he usually goes by Robbie, and he is, uh, known for being another, like, longstanding Daily Bugle employee who has worked with J. Jonah Jameson for a long time.

But, uh, whereas J. Jonah Jameson is famously very anti-Spider-Man [laughs] and very aggressive towards Spider-Man, Robbie is much more like, "Well, hold on-

Now, the interesting thing is, who else are we going to see? Now, very interestingly...

Ned, his best friend Ned, has the same name as the guy that eventually becomes, in the comics, the Hobgoblin.

And the Hobgoblin has magical powers.

Well, we already know that Ned has magical powers because he used the sling ring.

So, does something go wrong in their friendship and he becomes the Hobgoblin? When do we get to see Norman Osborn and Harry and the Green Goblin showing up? We've kind of seen, you know, Tobey Maguire's Green Goblin, but when do we get to see it in this world? Then there's all the stuff coming up with the Avengers stuff.

How is that going to play into things? Originally, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, I just kind of felt like was, all right, it's just going to be a passing craze.

We're going to get another Spider-Man anyways because we can't seem to get past two or three movies.
