Rockingham

What, what makes it so different?

Rock- it's Rockingham, uh, in Rockingham, North Carolina.

Um, I would say when it comes to NASCAR Thunder and racing games, I'm best at the speedway kind of courses, and I'm really good at the super speedways.

Mm-hmm.

Hmm

... kinda thing.

You can't really do that at Rockingham.

Interesting, yeah.

So anyway, guys, it is fall services time this year.

We talked about that last week, and we talked about going to the SCAG event at the NHRA drag race in Rockingham, North Carolina.

And I don't know about you, Jennifer, but I had the time of my life.

I, there, there are honestly not enough adjectives that I could use to describe what I personally felt Saturday at the drag race.

Well, it was called The Rock.

Exactly.

The Rockingham.

I was under the rock, but not the one in Rockingham.

Check that out.

We've got Keith Chappell from Rockingham, North Carolina.

Loved it over there.

We got Randy Bryson Jr. out of Cunningham, Tennessee.

We don't

even go to the track.

We show up to Rockingham.

Let's go, man.

And so, uh, going away, boo hoo.

I, uh, I knew of another teacher that, uh, lived in Rockingham, North Carolina, about 60 miles away.

Cause I had done, um, uh, a retreat, a music, you know, a band retreat.

And during the retreat or camp that we had there, one of the people who was getting his PhD in pedagogy played something that was quite boring, but it was clear that he was an expert at it.

I mean, there's some pretty big names.

My hometown of Rockingham, North Carolina, was burned to the ground during the Sherman March, and there's no plaque saying, you know, good job.

Paul, what was it like covering? So this is the other part of it, too.

So Tennessee and Texas only played three times ever.

Oh, yeah.

I was told that this is the first year that Rockingham has opened their drag strip back up for the first time in like 30 years.

Oh, really? Yeah, it's called At The Rock.

Yeah.

It's not the monotone natural colors.

They're seeing vibrancy.

So to see something like the NHRA come to Rockingham and and revive the dragging strip there, and then see North Wilkesboro races come back to the North Wilkesboro racetrack.

It's so cool.
