Have you guys seen a b- um, a significant reduction in speeding because of the cameras at, uh, Lams and Hydraulic and also Rockfish Gap Turnpike up there in the county?

Absolutely, and that's a, that's a great point.

Um, so those cameras were implemented over the past couple of years, and it has had a drastic change in, you know, how drivers have been driving in those school zones.

A member of Boy Scout Troop 230, Aubrey was one of 10 scouts accompanying three adult leaders for a weekend camping trip in Doughton Recreation Area.

a roughly 7,000 acre wilderness within the National Park Service's Blue Ridge Highway, which itself stretches 469 miles from Ravensford, North Carolina to Rockfish Gap, Virginia.

The troop planned to spend two nights at Basin Cove Campground, a primitive site offering little to its visitors aside from a fire pit, a lantern post, and food storage boxes to prevent the area's black bears from roaming into campsites.

Located just a mile and a half into the park from the Longbottom Road entrance, the geography of the site is part of the reason that this disappearance seems so out of the ordinary.
