But, you know, we both had MBAs.

We were both homebrewing we both worked for like larger companies and organizations in the past but somehow like we're on this crazy similar trajectory on opposite coasts and so we had so much in common to start that when we met it was kind of kismet and really easy to say yes I mean it was still a leap but like I think we had Probably three bottles of wine and some beers and went on Rocket Lawyer and made an LLC.

You can do that.

Wow.

But for every other state, removing that part of the problem from you as well, unless you're dead set on having your own attorney, we have all of it taken care of for you.

Kind of like LegalZoom, Rocket Lawyer, right? You show up with a problem, they match you with an attorney who's qualified to do that work in that jurisdiction.

Beautiful.

And so we have all of it, all the way to liquidity.

And I knew it's a very small segment of the population that gets to access institutions like these and all of the bells and whistles that come along with it.

So in 2018, I started Encourage Coaching, went through Rocket Lawyer, set up an LLC, built a website on Wix, and I had no business plan, no marketing strategy, no ideal client, just if I build it, will they come? And my very first client was actually a member of my dormant network from when I worked at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

He had a great experience working with me in an executive coaching capacity, referred me to two of his friends who are also small business owners.

And it kept growing in that way until the great resignation hit.
