Also at that Euro Super Series event, Giulia Zardini-Lacciadelli, the new Italian women's team, broke off from Stefania Constantini, had a great event in Sterling as well.

They were the highest... non-qualified finisher for victoria as well so they got the invite it's been a great start to the season for them i have to admit i thought without stefania constantini maybe they wouldn't quite like they would struggle a little bit at the start we haven't really seen julia skip that much i think a lot of people really respect stefania's game so i was curious how that was all going to play out but yeah they've been really really good to start the season we also just saw last weekend the stew sells oakville which was a qualifier for thunder bay so that's our our fourth slam on the calendar this year or third it's third or fourth i think it's third fourth i don't know we go i'm going to 10 cities this year with grand slams and rock league i can't keep track of all of it but we're going to thunder bay in the start of december yeah it's the fourth for sure i don't know what the hell i'm talking about We're going to Thunder Bay, and this was a qualifier for that Thunder Bay tournament.

And Danny Casper, first team in in Thunder Bay, they won that event.

They beat Jordan McDonald in the final there.

I'm going to be one of the hosts play by play guys throughout the season for the grand slam of curling alongside Darren DuPont.

And a lot of people ask me about Darren, you know, just cause he's not a name that maybe would be as familiar to curling fans, but he worked with us all year last year on rock channel.

He was a producer for the grand slams for rock league.

He did also call a few games last year as well in Kingston, uh, But he was with us at all of our events last year.

So you may have heard him on broadcasts last year on the streaming broadcasts.

He was also the in-venue host for Rock League.

He had done that previously with the Grand Slam of Curling.

Of course, he did the Broom Brothers podcast with me.

I love talking curling with everyone in the curling world.

And that's what will be happening here every week moving forward as we move into what will be an extremely busy Season 5 Grand Slam of Curling events before Christmas.

And it is...

The fact that OK Curling Nerds prepared to be super excited and maybe a little bit overwhelmed about the amount of games that are going to be shown on linear TV and streaming this season, because Sportsnet and CBC announced that they are going to be covering all of the Grand Slam of curling from Tuesday to the finals, as well as Rock League.

CBC is going to be showing some playoff games on Saturday night.

And then CBC also announced that it's going to be showing and broadcasting two provincial curling championships in Alberta and B.C., I think that's going to be on CBC Gem.

So I started thinking about how much time curlers are going to be away or off work, because that is a lot.

Like, that's five weeks before Christmas.

And then in January and February, that's when the Rock League is going to be shown.

And then it's just going to be a lot of curling.

But seriously, he wants to live out his dream of not hosting a Jeopardy podcast.

No, John's leaving because Rock League has made a huge broadcasting deal for curling to receive way more TV coverage.

I don't know what's more depressing, that John will be leaving or that more people are going to be watching curling this year.

But John needs the good news.

Yeah, I, I think it's a really good sort of way to get back into it.

I mean, there's no talk here i- in this initial announcement of Rock League, but-

We'll talk about Rock League in a second.

But yeah, I think it's gonna be cool to see Eve, Eve Muirhead back.
