The first video I did for them was rock was the US version of Rock and Roll Star.

But Oasis provided a soundtrack to it, for better and for worse.

Rock and Roll Star is essentially a power fantasy.

Beneath the swagger is the fear that all of this might disappear before you've had a chance to make something of it.

That contradiction is part of what made Oasis so useful to young people at the time, especially men.
