It was fun back then being involved with the DWB timeframe, but also it was great fun being involved in Australia, running Doctor Who fandom in Australia at the time.

You've got quite a story to tell, I know, from the other side of the world.

We're going to find out that which is common, I suppose, to all of Doctor Who fans and sort of enjoy the little ways in which the fan experience could be different as well as more about you and your special connection to this show.

You down for that?

I was nine years old when it started in Sydney on the 15th of January and I watched the first episode.

The reason I watched the first episode is my mother saw something in the newspaper about it, and what piqued my interest, and she knew I'd be interested in, was not that it was about travelling in space, it was about travelling in time.

I was very much interested in history, so I watched Doctor Who from the beginning for the historical stories.

And Dallas, did they follow the pattern of transmitted episodes in the United Kingdom, or were there any stories that were missing in that very first season?

It's like I think that's why season seven works sometimes, 'cause like, 'cause I think obviously does the comedy a lot better.

And then you've got, and then you've got Nicholas Courtney from it, so it's like that's why Robot's probably the best story that season as well, because you've got Nicholas Courtney in it, but ...

I mean, it did win the Strictly Come hamster, but that's never a gauge of quality.

Well, yeah, but I just remember it's like, 'cause season 12 as a whole is also my bottom s- classic season.

It is the end of 1974 going into 1975.

It is called Robot.
