robin hood 2010 i have not seen this movie botch for me but the reason that this was such a bummer is because this movie went through many stages of production like production hell and i believe the original script called for the same actor to play both the sheriff of nottingham and robin hood If I'm not mistaken And then it ended up just completely going I think the movie was going to be called Sheriff of Nodding I think it was going to be based more around

Ambition vs. Talent
M
0:55Mark PalermoHOST
He has unquestionable classics, Alien and Blade Runner, of course, but even when I find his discernment in scripts questionable, Scott has indisputable talent.
M
1:04Mark PalermoHOST
One may not enjoy House of Gucci or Gladiator 2 or Russell Crowe and the miserable true story of Robin Hood, but there's a high visual standard in all of them, and despite imitators, the Ridley Scott recipe that can light the Dark Ages legal drama The Last Duel, like Renaissance paintings, may end with him.
M
1:22Mark PalermoHOST
I'm talking about talent, which isn't the same as ambition, but given how quickly he's still churning out movies at age 80, Scott has both.
M

Most people in the arts aren't so lucky.

DOGSTARS - FILM REVIEW - With Special Guest Brose Avard
B
18:15Brose AvardGUEST
This is what Ridley Scott can be like.
B
18:17Brose AvardGUEST
Uh, his Robin Hood film's a bit rambly as well.
B
18:19Brose AvardGUEST
Napoleon was a bit long-winded.
B
18:21Brose AvardGUEST
And not that this is long-winded, but there are some bits that could be, I don't know, a bit sharper, a little bit better explained, I think.
