Robert Lindsay

I woke up on pavements in the middle of the street, I woke up in fields, woke up with bruises, blood, you know, everything that an alcoholic will remember and kind of relate to.

On the 7th of February 2019, Robert sent me to rehab in South Africa, paid for first class flights.

I think it was about $3,000 or something a day.

Yeah, wow.

from rehab.

And I was nominated for Best Male Villain and she was nominated for Best Female Villain.

Neither of us won the award, but I did get to present the award to one of my heroes in this business, Robert Lindsay.

Oh, I love him.

But I wrote down who he reminded me of because I had to look it up.

But it's like a cross between Robert Lindsay and the guy who talks like this, whose name I've completely forgotten.

Nick Cage?

Oh, man.

Yes.

It was a snooker-themed drama, comedy drama, starring Robert Lindsay, Mel Smith.

played his manager, I

think.

And I don't remember, I remember we filmed in a snooker hall just off on High Holborn and the director had invented, he had this kind of remote control thing camera system that swooped and spent all day waiting for it to work.

I seem to remember.

But I was friendly with Robert Lindsay for a while after that.

And Paul McGann, of course, drove a Rover P5.

Yeah, but yeah.

So Robert Lindsay was in Citizen Smith as well.

And he played up to Zoe Wanamaker in My Family, which also has the actor that may have played Doctor Who, but has always denied it.

He's never been considered for the role.

Robert Lindsay.

no the one that played the son he's out of um oh chris

marshall

She wants another treat.

But the most fun I ever had was doing Me and My Girl on Broadway with Robert Lindsay, who's a Brit.

And it was just like going to a party every night.

And I played Lady Jacqueline Carstone.

Softly spoken actor, nice off screen and on.

But his big break was the fact that Robert Lindsay spat the dummy and left the cast of Line of Duty.

Yes.

Series three.

What else? Who else was in it? I don't know.

Robert Lindsay.

Robert Lindsay was in it.

Robert Lindsay.

And amazingly, Sue Holderness, who then became very famous in Only Fools and Horses.

Lovely Sue.
