And unfortunately when budget crunches come in, you go straight to your, uh, uh, your elected officials your constables or you go straight to that I can't remember the word of it but you go to your sheriff's department you go to your tax department you go to all them and you start focusing on them and if county administrators or county commissioners would look back and focus more on hey what are things that we can change because public safety that's one thing you're going to cut it and then you're going to immediately pay for it and then you're going to be pay for it in many ways not physically or money monetarily but you're going to pay for it in crime going up and issues coming transient people coming in um and then you're going to end up screaming that hey we need to get this money back to our law enforcement we're not safe so it's instead of doing that and going down that road because you can lose lives it's just like an open border you can create a lot of damage in a crunch like that um what are some suggestions that you would have to your administrators looking forward or to other county administrators or to the public about dealing with this

Robert HardwickGUEST
You know, I think first of all, of course, you know, we as sheriffs and the Florida Sheriff's Association has literally invested millions of dollars in this.

Robert HardwickGUEST
This is, you know, all 67 sheriffs got into a room and said, hey, we're going to go ahead and take an aggressive approach to this and educate the community on what it actually does to law enforcement.

Robert HardwickGUEST
And also the Florida Police Chiefs Association, of course, the International Police I think it's the firefighters association too, as well.

Robert HardwickGUEST
The photo order order of, I'm sorry, the fraternal order of police has actually stepped in there going, Hey, this is going to reduce all of our funding for all of our law enforcement and public safety, public service.

Robert HardwickGUEST
You know, one thing for us here in St. John's County is, you know, where do you cut at? You cut personnel.
