Yeah, he'll be up there with a lot of players in that category.

Robbie Flower never won one, did he? Gee, he was a beauty.

Anyway, I think with Bontempele, though, what we're hearing is they're going to try and extend his career by playing him at either half-back.

He's 6'5".

So I'll get the record by round three.

So first-round pick, the Cats of last year, has spent the whole year just building himself up, getting over a knee, Rico.

Now, we're not suggesting he's going to come in and be Robbie Flower.

But he's one that'll be really interesting to see how he does go next year, Barker, with a year out and then building himself up.

He's sort of a, well, I don't know what he'll develop into, but he's like a, I think he's left, I don't know if he's a left footer, may not be, but he's a biggish sort of wingman who's got good skill and it's going to be a really good size.

For us, it was going from, for the majority of us who just watched VFL footy on telly with the winners, you know, on a Sunday night, um, we idolized those guys, uh, but it always seemed so far away, so, so much a higher level.

So all of a sudden when we were prepping to, uh, to play in the VFL, I just remember every week we were talking about the big names that we were gonna be playing against, whether it was Dougie Hawkins or Robbie Flower, um, Peter Daicos.

You know, every week we're going, "Oh, how good is this?"

[laughs]

He hated it.

But, um, yeah.

Uh, and, and the early days, playing on Dougie Hawkins or Robbie Flower, some of these big, big champions of the game was, uh, was pretty exciting.

We had Dougie on last week, didn't we?

Yeah, I suspect, you know, when you do retire, whenever that is, and we're not wishing that at all, but you've played almost a season and a half of finals footy.

And, you know, I think back to Robert Flower, who was, you know, the icon of our football club.

It played one extra year, basically, to see if he could play one final.

And he got there in the end.
