This devotional address, entitled, The Prince of Peace, Peace I give unto you was given on June 1st, 1986 by Robert D. Hales, then presiding bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 1966, President Kimball wrote a talk entitled Tragedy and Destiny, which has been a talk which has helped me a number of times through my life.

He said in that talk, we knew before we were born that we were coming to earth for bodies and experience that we would have joys and sorrows, pain and comforts, ease and hardships, health and sickness, successes and disappointments, and we knew also that we would die.

Nephi phrased it like this, feast upon the words of Christ, for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what you should do.

I love what Elder Robert D. Hales taught.

He said, when we want to talk with God, we pray.

And when we want God to talk with us, we search the scriptures.
