What does it mean to be accredited and why do you think it's important? I'll give the long answer.

First, for I remember, what did I know about accreditation? Was it really? I was already a professor at RTS before I really understood what in the world is accreditation.

You just assume it.

Okay, so what is accreditation? Historically, maybe we'll start with like 1950s, the United States was split up into seven geographical regions.

and there were seven, and they would call themselves gold standard accreditors, which we called regional accreditors.

And so for your listeners, they went to most universities.

If I heard of their university, it was probably accredited by one of the regionals, depending on where it was located.
