Rob Walker

So if you want to see what a story does to raw dollar value, then look no further than a project called Significant Objects.

Two writers, Rob Walker and Joshua Glenn, bought a pile of junk from thrift stores like ashtrays and figurines and a plastic banana, stuff like that.

They spent about $128, I think that's what it was, on all of these little trinkets and things.

Then they had writers write a short story for every single object, and then they sold them on eBay.
