Was there a distillery where you walked in expecting one thing and were completely blown away by what you ended up going once we left? You were blown away?

I think the first time I went to Maker's Mark, I got to interview Rob Samuels, and I've talked about that episode.

I learned so much from that episode, but he was very on script, yes or no answers.

And I left there thinking, man, I got to be a better podcaster.

Well, Maker's Mark, a bottle of bourbon.

And Maker's Mark is u-unique to South Carolina because the managing director for Maker's Mark is Rob Samuels, a '96 graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Uh, and, uh, Rob was generous enough to work with a team of our alumni to do a, a private selection, a barrel tasting.

And so this was a barrel chosen by several alumni.

And I want to remind listeners of kind of how this, especially this episode right here, has built.

Um, I interviewed, uh, Rob Samuels at Maker's Mark.

I didn't feel very good about that episode, uh, on my old podcast.

And then I ran into you guys and I said, "Hey, I'd like to..." Through, actually through John Edwards, uh, he either gave me your number or Jane's number and said, "Hey." He was like, "You should interview them." And, uh, 'cause he had asked me, "Hey, how'd you feel?" And I was like, "Ah, I just, I didn't like it.
