So how do you make it into the MotoGP paddock as a photographer? Because, um, from what I gather, it's, it's a competitive field, a competitive business, and, um, it could be quite cutthroat.
8:28
Yeah, it is, it is competitive, but I wouldn't want that to dissuade anyone, right? So I think with photography, and it's not, this isn't just about MotoGP, this is just in general.
8:40
Nowadays you really have to go and kind of do the job before you get the job.
8:45
And what I mean by that is, like, if you're interested in shooting bikes and you wanna take really cool bike content, then don't wait for, you know, you can't just go and apply for a job at Red Bull or something, but just go and do it.
8:58
Maybe you've got a friend with a street bike.
9:00
You know, you can then go and create your own shoot.
9:03
You don't even need them to be riding it.

40:57
... least favorite?
8:17
And almost if a coach was reflecting on their own practice, what might they notice if they were more information driven with the way they designed the activities?
8:26
Yeah, so the sport I was, when I said that was, I was watching basketball practice.
8:30
And you think about basketball practice, your coach, you're putting into play, you basically tell, you practice it, usually put it, practice it with no defense.
8:39
So you tell the player, you go to this spot, you go to that pot.
8:43
When you get here, you pass, right? So players are doing things.
8:48
Because you told them to, not because the environment is offering that, right? What we want, there's not information in the environment telling them it's a good time to pass now.
8:59
They're doing it because you told them to, which I think is an important distinction.
10:26
And if the constraints are then doing the teaching, how does that change the role of the coach?
9:43
Can you explain what intrinsic dynamics are and why it's important to identify them?
9:48
Yeah.
9:49
This is kind of one of these concepts that I think we...
9:53
It comes from a really basic research and v- porting it up to sports has been a little bit difficult.
9:58
But, but it's basically people kind of have a preferred way they wanna coordinate, right? Um, you know, the, it, I think w- the two base ones I know are in way people run, and also I see it in baseball what...
10:12
The way people s- there's two distinct ways people generate force.
10:15
One is they kind of create a imbalance in their body and they fall.

12 MINS LATER

22:18
Um, but yeah, could you give some tips for coaches who want to ask better questions, they want to ask questions that align with a more ecological lens?
17:44
Um, yeah, can you go into, yeah, why this is such an important principle and, and take us through that concept?
17:50
Yeah, I think, you know, intention, intention so is basically kind of setting your goal for, for an activity, for, you know, a game or what you're trying to achieve, right? It's gonna determine what you look for, what information you pick up, and the, uh, how you connect it to your movement.
18:08
Um, I think that's, you know, I think as a coach, kind of you can move someone to a particular area of solution space by just say changing that, that intention.
18:18
I want you to, you know, I want you to get the ball up in the air for a new person versus pass it exactly to someone that's-Of, uh, it's po- teammate versus more skilled, right? Um, so yeah, I think it, it's, it's, it's kind of, uh, it's...
18:34
I think it...
18:34
One of the, some of the best athletes I've, I've been lucky enough to work with, I feel like they have a clear intention every time they...
18:41
Like, I'm gonna...
20:52
... yeah, what have you, what have you found to maintain the quality of the intention?
4:23
You did
4:23
... as we have a fantastic, uh, community garden, um, uh, land we lease off the council, and they provided that for us, which was wonderful.
4:32
Um, yeah, we grow all sorts in there.
4:34
Um, so yeah, f- it's free for people to forage in.
4:38
Um, so it really is for the community to come and, and harvest, to come and top up their salads or, uh, get some of those vegetables they need.
4:48
So yeah, come and have a look.
4:49
And if you wanna join us, that's Friday morning, 9:30 to 12:30.

19 MINS LATER

24:02
Yeah, yeah.
17:57
Who was doing the work to find that site? How did you stitch that deal together? Like really unpack that.
18:02
Yeah.
18:03
Well, we, we don't have an internal acquisitions manager, so a lot of, lot of finding the sites, um, falls on us and our key staff.
18:11
But we'll deal with a lot of buyer's agents, um, normal agents, even, um, owners will reach out to us directly.
18:18
Even on Instagram, people will say, "I've got this site," or, "My friend's trying to sell this site." So we think the more sort of eyes you've got looking, the more chance you are of finding an A-grade site.
18:28
So we don't really care how it comes to us or how we get it.
18:31
Um, we'll also door knock places.

55 MINS LATER

73:38
What's the, um, what's your retention like with staff?
