... an underappreciated topic, but I don't know if, if, if Barry Larkin is looking to, like, you know, uh, put in a, a million bucks to, to see if they can get a fa- a camera crew to Rob Dibble's house.

Um, is Rob Dibble still alive? I think I've used to have checked.

I used to listen to Kornheiser, so I was listening to you the day you got on the radio.

I lived through the Rob Dibble years and the-

One texter sent in a YouTube video, which you can't watch, but just reminds us that 34 years ago today, Rob Dibble and Lou Piniella fought in the Reds locker room.

That was a good fight.

... [laughs] I said, "Well, why do you keep it in your cap?" So he said, "So I'll never forget." So, like, he could just pull it out and look and say, "Yeah, this is one of the guys I need to get." And he told Rob Dibble once, he never told me this, but he told Rob Dibble, um, that he hit a guy- In an old timers game on purpose.

The next generation was very similar.

with Clemens and Martinez and Johnson those were guys who threw really hard for a long time and healthy now even when I started there were models of pitchers who threw really hard but we wouldn't necessarily call them we wouldn't use them as models right so let's take I don't know if you remember Rob Dibble.

Rob Dibble threw in the high 90s for a year and a half.

And then blew out.

Unbelievable athlete.

Dwight Gooden came out, blew everybody away.

He had some off the field problems, right? But his arm problems were mechanical.

So if we were looking at mechanical models, we would never use Dwight Gooden and Rob Dibble as models.

... that, Rob Dibble, when I worked with him at ESPN, Dibs would always give you...

Like, he was always working out, and he was in great shape.

And he'd always tell you, you know, "I'm 6'4, 237." And then I, I wanted to have a height and weight bell to kinda remind him that he says it a lot.

And Swindell was definitely a factor.

Now you were on the team on September 17th, 1992, when Rob Dibble and Lou Piniella squared off in the clubhouse.
