Rob Caggiano

Yeah, I think it's Caggiano.

Yeah, he was in Anthrax for those last two records, the Volumate.

So I think he came in around Volumate for the touring, and he was definitely on the We Have Come For You All.

Now, and that's significant for me as an Anthrax fan because I've never really got on with Jonathan Danae as a guitar player.

I don't dislike what he does, but I think, like, prior to that, we had Rob Caggiano, who I thought had much more personality in his playing, you know, just his melody choices and stuff like that.

On this album, Danae has really pricked up my ears.

I think for the first time in that sort of run, you know, from the last album to this, there's guitar solos on here that blow me away.

So I knew all those guys.

And Rob Caggiano was leaving at the time.

And he wanted to make sure that he had himself covered and had them covered.

So he texted me and asked me if I was interested in filling in.

just never really paid any attention

and like there's not a ton of like history or lore to be had with these guys so like joe troman um the fallout boy guitarist he met scott ian the you know the anthrax guy with a beard um you know probably backstage on the festival circuit and they bond over like thin lizzy and like that you know that bluesy southern rock and they're like joking around and like hey man we should like do a thing together and i don't know which one of them knows keith buckley um but they know he's into that shit and so they recruit him into this mix and so then they're just like yeah i guess we're gonna do a thing and so then like etid's current bassist at the time is recruited and fallout boy's drummer is recruited and And the other guitarist in Anthrax, whose name is Rob Caggiano, he was the guy in Anthrax at the time.

He later moves on to kind of be the guy in Volbeat.

That's the thing.

So, yeah, you know, they get together, they do this thing, and it's pretty fun.

And then, like, nine years later, they do a second album, and...

A bunch of the pieces have moved on, like that Rob Caggiano is no longer a thing because he's off doing Volbeat and doing that.
