Rob Buck

The Obsessions were who? Tell us who the Obsessions were.

The Obsessions were Rob Buck's band.

You're not, if you're in a band, it's pretty much Rob Buck's band in a way, certainly in those days.

But it was Rob and his wife, Terry, and...

Jeff Lindholm.

And it's a little of both.

We were in the right time and the right place, and we had some very talented people.

Rob Buck, you know, no one ever played like Rob Buck.

I remember hearing Gray Victory the first time, and there were two things that, that stuck out.

Number one, Robert Buck was one of the greatest guitar players I had ever heard, and his arpeggios, his guitar playing on Gray Victory blew my mind.

[singing] And the other thing was, you know, the British pop music and the big monolithic rock bands of the era had a very specific direction, you know? And here was a band coming out of nowhere that, uh, was really proud of being literate.

It was almost as if Emily Dickinson had started a rock band.
