Road user charges

I saw the AA recently doing this interview saying oh well it's going to be a few years away and all this kind of stuff.

Yeah maybe until you get the app but there's no reason why you This coming year, you couldn't have universal road user charges.

So that's where I think the government might have an out on the no new taxes, and they only kind of had to say, actually, we won't do the fuel excise duty increase on January next year, because actually by the end of next year, everyone could be paying RUC anyway.

have to wonder if in Labour's case in particular, where they've committed even more to three years of no fuel excise duty increases, surely they're looking at it and saying, well, we can make that commitment now because we know that within those three years, we'll be shifting everybody to Iraq anyway.
