um like or of course alan rickman is the goat you know um but it's it's more about like the ways in which they're cast let's start with the like matt damon and ben affleck of it all 1999 if you were to tell me which of these is going to be a big action star i would have said ben affleck So for him to be the calm, mellow one, but of course they have the switch and by the end of it, he's the big, you know, sort of like the quiet kid that you poked a little bit too hard and now he's just unloading years of fury versus the one who has been known for vengeance, who has finally figured out, you know, a more calm demeanor.

Yeah.

um you know but you you throw their them in there and then of course um i think alan rickman as metatron is inspired casting not only because alan rickman is one of the goats but like i get the sense that when kevin smith called him up and was like here's what's gonna happen you're gonna play an angel in this you know comedy about angels you know sleuthing around doing stuff on a road trip with jane silent bob from mall rats by the way did you see mall rats um and alan rickman's agent was like i guess i'll bring it to him and then rickman just being like all right i guess does it pay like just i can't see hans gruber and professor snape like wanting to take this kind of a role but that's exactly what metatron is like he's annoyed that he has to be down there he just wants to go you know f off and do whatever you know, like, so to me, like that's inspired casting.

And then you throw in, you know, we already talked about Linda Florentino, Salma Hayek as the muse, Jason Lee getting to be like a snively little, it's not like quite perfect, but that's why it is perfect.

I, I got a, a short, I got a sitcom gig right after I moved here, um, b- just straight up beginner's luck, um, uh, on, like, a legal sitcom that lasted for, like, e- eight episodes, but he got to watch that.

He got to see me be in a short, uh, have a short role in a movie called Road Trip with Tom Green from, like-

All right, let's get into the movie.

Today we're watching Road Trip.

You're going to want to pause this thing.

As soon as you see the DreamWorks logo pop up, I've got a crescent moon to the right side of the screen.

Maybe? Definitely not $1.50.

It didn't go over $1.40 until 9-11, and then it hit $2, and then I don't think it ever went down.

It's an 1,800-mile road trip, roughly.

And if you average 25 miles per gallon, it would only cost $108 for the entire trip at $1.50.

So I don't know what else might've been attached to that, but that sounds like a legitimate criticism to me.

That's a great movie.

And it makes me cry every time when I get to the end.

So I think it'd probably be that.

Or unless you're asking in the Road Trip franchise, in which case it would be Road Trip.

Cartoon49 says, have you seen The Sheep Detective and The Furious yet? Yeah, I saw Sheep Detectives and The Furious this summer.

But like when you watch it now, there are definitely some stuff that did not age well.

But this is how comedy used to be.

Like, yeah, just the typical friend road trip stuff.

But like everything you can think of as far as what teenage boys would think about on a road trip happened on this road trip.

they do like a return to Scott? He doesn't know.

No, there is a concert at the beginning, but I thought it ended with a concert too.

No, it's before they go to Europe, I think, right? Where they have that concert.

That's a good one, too.

I enjoy that one.
