Ages.

Ages, right, from a hastily thrown together show at the Riverside Studios, literally put together in a week with whatever existing material we had to show to John Plowman, because he quite rightly went, well, I don't know what you mean.

What is that? So I'm not sure.

The burger had taken two years to produce and cost $330,000, money furnished by the Google co-founder Sergei Brin.

Now it was being tasted in public for the first time at Riverside Studios in London at an event attended by 200 members of the press and live-streamed to thousands.

To make this particular burger, Post had extracted stem cells from the shoulder muscle of a living cow, then cultivated them in plastic containers filled with a nutrient-rich supplement called fetal bovine serum, which is derived from cow fetuses.

The cells eventually became 20,000 strands of tissue, which in turn became a single 5-ounce patty.

His name was David Gothard, and he was an associate artistic director at the Abbey.

He ran Riverside Studios, which he was instrumental in bringing Beckett to England for the first time, having him produced there.

He helped open the National Theater of Kosovo.

I could go on and on about him.

[laughs] Because I, I somehow I've managed it.

Um, but there is a Doctor Who connection to the, the first show that I did, because where we did it at Riverside Studios, we were actually in the studio where they made Doctor Who in the '60s.

Oh, Riverside.

I've watched some, but I don't think I've done...

Me, I think me and Maria have got the Battlefield event at Riverside Studios on Sunday, this Sunday.

Mm-hmm.

And yeah, I mean, it was interesting as well because there was some props that I'm thinking, what are they going to do with that? And it reminds me of a show that Dickie Bo did at Hampstead where one of his one-man shows where there's, again, the whole stage full of props.

And you're thinking, okay, when is that going to be used? How is he going to use that? You know, how is that going to help the story? There's also another show I saw at the Riverside Studios with Asa Butterworth.

where there's a bed like stuck on the wall floating.

And I think, okay, how is that going to be used? How's he going to get up there? You know, it's all these things that, you know, you can kind of like thinking it out in your head of all these kinds of scenarios, instead of just being in the moment and just let it play out.

Unquestionably.

I was telling Adam Franklin about it 'cause he's pretty much as big a Kinks fan as I am.

He hadn't heard, so I was glad to lay it on him, that there's the two songs that came out at least on YouTube- That were recorded at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, London, February 10th and February 17th, 1969, for a BBC Two TV show called Where Was Spring? Last week we heard one of the two, uh, and, uh, today we're gonna hear the other one.

I feel the need to warn you, kind of a trigger alert, that I do not like a lyric at the end of this song, but I'm not gonna let that stop me from playing it.

We can kind of condemn it together if we'd like, but I think it's an otherwise great song.

Astor is still out there singing that song, which I think is just wonderful, that Paul McCartney gave him in, like, 1964.

But, uh, in this case, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna announce those songs in the order we heard them, since it was kind of chronological in that sense.

The Kinks began with Darling I Respect You, recorded at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, London, February 1769, broadcast on the BBC 2 TV, Where Was Spring? program exactly a week later, February 24th.
