Rivers Rutherford

This is like a, yeah, yeah.

This is like a still basic internet research, but I went a, one layer deep on, uh, Wikipedia and found the songwriter, and his name is Rivers Rutherford.

And it was a podcast, and I wanna make sure I shout them out correctly, and when this episode does get posted I'll, I'll post a link to their podcast.

It was called Songtown, which is a songwriting podcast.

Taylor Swift was going to come perform at our school.

And she was opening for Josh Turner, Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Rivers Rutherford.

And she wasn't able to make it.

And so Pete Fisher, who was the general manager of the Grand Ole Opry, had a son that went to the same school.

It appears on Brad's album, Time Well Wasted, and went on to become a number one country hit.

The song was written by Rivers Rutherford and George Tarrin, and when Brad recorded it, Dolly's voice became such an important part of what made the song so special.

It's a song about looking beyond this life and imagining a place where there's no more pain, no more struggle, and no more fear.

Only peace, love, and being reunited with the people we've lost.
