And it's just an interesting collection of characters, 'cause they're all there for a specific reason.

So they've all been invited to this gathering, and it's Dolphin, it's Cave Carson, it's Rip Hunter, it's the Sea Devils, and it's Kong Gorilla, who I've never heard of before, but this is the first time I've ever heard of that particular character.

And they're all here for one particular reason.

Through whatever activities, whatever things they've been transpiring to do, they've come across this golden pyramid, whether it's Dolphin deep within the sea, and then she gets captured by deep sea fishermen or whatever, and she escapes, or it's Cave Carson, right, going n- into, obviously caves, into the dwells of the caves and, and finding this mysterious pyramid that's buried down there that looks exactly like the one Dolphin finds.

Or if it's the Sea Devils, and again, they're doing their underwater expedition, and they come across the same pyramid that Dolphin has, which crosses her storyline's path.

Or if it's in the Congo, and Kong Gorilla comes across this pyramid deep within the jungle.

Or it's Rip Hunter traveling through time and space and somehow coming across this pyramid through their travels and, and aging him 40 years.

But they've all been put together because they've all came across this pyramid, and the person who's brought them together is the Immortal Man.

Meanwhile, a scheming John Constantine works behind the scenes, manipulating the various factions to his own ends.

Part of this involves sending time traveler Rip Hunter back to the present of 1987 to find his younger self and tell him of the potential future.

The younger Constantine takes it upon himself to warn the various heroes of the dystopian fate awaiting all of them, which is where our story starts in earnest and the true crossover event begins.
