I think the ship-based ones are more survivable and more important, and those have also been significantly depleted.

So, you know, your SM-3, SM-2, SM-6.

We saw a preview of that in Iran very early in the war, hit, I think, a billion-dollar radar system just in the opening days.

And imagine a more capable adversary.

That's where they were all used, I guess.

Such munitions include Tomahawks, Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles, terminal high-altitude area defense weapons, FAD, Patriot systems, Standard Missile 3, SM-3, and SM-6 interceptors.

Apart from the munitions, the CBO report, which came at the request of Representative Brendan Boyle, who is a ranking member of the House Budget Committee, estimates that the Pentagon spent $10.4 billion on increased flying hours, $2.7 billion on increased fuel costs, $1.9 billion on equipment lost in battle, and $1.5 billion in other operational costs.

Furthermore, the report adds that every additional month will cost the Pentagon about $2 billion at the level of violence seen in May and June and estimates it will cost the Department about $3 billion in July's level of intensity.

And they were both sort of of the idea of the mind that the SM-6 and SM-3s were also going to be a problem.

On the ammunition side, I think if they're flying, again, I think the department's doing the right thing and not having a full-scale discussion of this alleged ballistic missile attack, right, on the George Washington.

if they shot missiles at those ballistic missiles incoming, they would have likely been SM-3s or SM-6s.

And the SM-3s have been used.

We've acknowledged this.

They were used heavily in the defense of Israel.

And there's two specific systems that the Navy relies on to do these interceptions for ships.

That's the SM-3 and the SM-6.

And if you reference Mark Kantzian's, the charts that he has at CSIS, you'll see that probably the highest rate of depletion of all those 14 key systems is the SM-6 and the SM-3.

There's a report that our destroyers, it was such an intensive threat to our destroyer.

much closer than they normally would be.

And he said also, he said he had heard through the grapevine, basically, that the Pentagon or the Navy had ordered the ships to basically put their defenses on auto so that they would just throw as much of what they had at the incoming stuff the Iranians were throwing at the ships because that's how worried the Navy is that one of these ships are going to get clipped.

The problem, as Bobby explained to us, the problem is that the Navy doesn't have a lot of these SM-3 and SM-6s anymore.

The long and short of the story is that the missile that was fired, anti-ship ballistic missile with a depressed trajectory, it basically means that it did not leave the atmosphere.

It stayed within the stratosphere on the higher reaches of the atmosphere.
