But how did she get this kind of access? Why did she become so important to Donald Trump? Here's the backstory.

Harp first came to his attention in 2019 when she spoke on Fox News about how Trump had helped save her life with the Right to Try Act, which she said had allowed her to get experimental treatment for bone cancer.

Before she began to work on Trump's restoration in 2022, Harp was an anchor of the far-right OAN and spread the gospel that the election was stolen.

This winter, she was the one who posted the sickening video depicting Trump as the king of the jungle and the Obamas as apes.

... after this, her father commits suicide.

Um, she's been in touch with, with Donald Trump at this point because she had made a, a big speech, uh, I think at the RNC convention, p-praising his Right to Try, uh, praising the Right to Try Act, which, which, which, which saved her life.

So Trump spoke to her after her father committed suicide.

And in, in the let- We know this from the letters that have been dug up that she's written to him, and she said, uh, there was an allusion, I'm paraphrasing, "I'll never forget w-what you told me after my father died.

Yeah.

Um, her backstory, like she really came into the administration after claiming that the Right to Try Act that was signed by Trump, I wanna say in May of twenty eighteen, saved her life because she said she was dying of bone cancer.

Um, and his signing it gave her the ability to access treatment.

But when she described her treatment, it was FDA-approved immunotherapy treatment for non-approved use, which is just off-

... which is legal, has been legal, and needs no law.

It has already existed.

The Right to Try Act is for non-FDA approved.
