Rigetti Computing

Yeah.

Well, s- so full disclosure, I have a, uh, a, a West Point classmate of mine, I, I'll leave his name out unless he wants me to out him later on, who follows the show because he-- what-- He's interested, but he's really an investor, and he says that, you know, he's done well with, like, understanding what companies are doing and things like that, and we're starting to see government money really flowing in, like big chunks, billion-dollar chunks of money flowing into companies like Rigetti and IBM.

Um, and you saw something about IBM recently about their, their dedication to this topic.

Yeah.

Yes.

Um, and in addition to some money for IBM, there is an interesting pledge for about almost four hundred million, uh, to establish basically a, uh, uh, US domestic, uh, quantum foundry supporting multiple, uh, modalities.

And then also it contains, um, financing for the likes of Atom Computing and Duraq and D-Wave and PsiQuantum and Quantinuum, Rigetti, and so forth.

This is major.

It was NNE.

It wasn't just Rigetti for the quantums.

It was Rigetti and IONQ and FedEx.

qbt qbts and qubt they might be the you know they might be like these unprofitable unproven businesses except they all broke out of big bases and made and they all doubled and it's the same thing what you've seen it with the neo clouds has it just been hot moving no it's been hot with wolf and apld and nbis and cypher uh And they're just all moving together.

Was it just AMD? No.

Why? Why? they make zero dollars so they're they're fun and they work when the theme is working but if you really want to sit in names and you want to be more of a position trader multi-month even a full year accelerating earnings and sales uh 25 percent quarterly recorder or trailing 12 months near their 20-day highs i personally like stocks with over a billion dollar market cap And people are like, well, Ariel, at a billion dollars in market cap, do you feel like you're missing names? The reality is no, right? A billion dollars nowadays for a company is actually kind of small.

I mean, as crazy as that might sound, you could still have 2,500 stocks to pay attention to north of a billion dollars.

And to this, I'll say, if you are into trading momentum, Rigetti had a billion dollar market cap at like two dollars.

[upbeat music] Some of the standout winners in the stock market this week were quantum computing companies, even though quantum computing itself still isn't ready for primetime.

Shares of D-Wave Quantum, Rigetti Computing, and Quantinuum rallied after a federal agency awarded each company $100 million in exchange for minority stakes in all three.

The money is meant to support research and development in quantum computing, which uses physics to tackle complex problems that conventional computers struggle with.

The hope is that it could eventually transform industries from medicine to cybersecurity.

And in quantum computing, it's almost become the default route.

IonQ, Rigetti, D-Wave a few years ago.

Just this past year alone, Infleqtion, Xanadu, IQM out of Europe.

That is a clear pattern.

That said, it wasn't the only name that made news in quantum yesterday.

The Commerce Department also finalized deals to trade equity for capital with other more nascent players, including Rigetti Computing, D-Wave Quantum, and Quantinuum.

IonQ did not participate in that deal, which was announced earlier this year.
