Rider University

It's one example of political lines beginning to blur, even as divisions deepen within both parties over ideology, the war in Iran, and what voters want.

So what do these unlikely alliances tell us about where the parties are headed? Joanna Gagas asked Micah Rasmussen that question, director of the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University.

And that's why I believe you had the drive to become a Division I All-American, which you were able to do that at Rider University your senior year.

What was the relationship with Jay Nace? Was he a teammate of yours?

Yes.

At Rider University? He was, actually, yeah, for three years.

Awesome.

They'll play the University of Alabama, Birmingham, on Friday or tomorrow morning at 9, or excuse me, 10 o'clock our time, 9 o'clock, or excuse me, 9 o'clock our time, 10 o'clock their time, Eastern time.

Then they'll face Rider College on Friday as well.

4 p.m and then on saturday they will play the host st john's uh at one o'clock eastern time noon central that will be on espn plus so be sure to watch it if you can and then the no rest for the weary the next week they'll play the roadrunner classic where they will take on um indiana university at indianapolis uh ut san antonio and gonzaga and then oklahoma so uh yeah big names coming up um and we'll see but it's the it's definitely um definite big time difference there is a lot of height and a lot of athleticism that we haven't really seen in the previous teams but Morales is a fantastic recruiter.

He has two players on his team that I think are taller than 6'3".

What do you do these days, John? Because, you know, there's been other things you've done, but what are you doing right now these days, and who do you serve right now?

Yeah, so most of my time is obviously spent at Rider University as the president.

So I started that role last July.

Okay.

community-centered and really gets the student ready to go.

If you look, we do these student-centered business incubators where students are working with graduate students in a mentor network and working with entrepreneurs and small businesses.

If you could see the resumes that these students build, it's unbelievable, right? And that's nice because they're going to get a job and we're outcome-focused, right? So Rider University is first-generation.

I'm a first-generation college student.

Short, cheap, generic, repetitive, able to be cut quite easily to length.

There were several very excellent and popular Victorian magazines, including one run by Charles Dickens, notes Jack Sullivan, a professor of English at Rider University and the editor of the Penguin Encyclopedia of Horror and the Supernatural.

While Dickens wasn't a genre writer like his contemporaries like Sheridan LeFou and M.R. James, his story A Christmas Carol, published just before Christmas in 1843, is perhaps the best-known Victorian-era ghost story today.

Sullivan points out that A Christmas Carol was published near the beginning of the Victorian-Edwardian golden era of ghost stories.

New Jersey Congressman Tom Kean Jr. says he has the most local press engagements of any NJ member of Congress.

But Michael Rasmussen, director of the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University, says the Republican tends to be more low-key and quiet because of the makeup of the Seventh Congressional District, which he represents.

It is a truly swing district, and Tom Kean's reaction to that is to lie low, try to stay below the fray, below the radar screen, to avoid taking a stance on some of President Trump's most controversial positions, and to try and stay out of the fray.

In his first interview since returning to Congress, Kean said he's feeling great.

Right.

Her daughter is a great volleyball player, a division one volleyball player starting this season at Rider University.

Just got moved into her dorm.

Very exciting.

But, yeah, I was good.

And the legendary Coach Taylor at Rider University, who I wrestled for and had coached alongside, had said that if you just listen, you know, you can do really well in this sport.

And I was all ears.

He scored a lot of points for me in the corner just by listening.
