Ricky Dillard

Then you have so many people that broke out from the choir to do solo projects and

solo solo projects and small ensemble groups so one of the things that i say in the book is that uh you know in the platinum age people would name their choir practically anything but choir or name their group whatever their group is it may not be enough to be a choir but anything it can be a chorale it can be uh you know any anything but very few held on to choir you know um And I'm thinking of folks, of course, like even Ricky Dillard, right.

With, with his corral.

And, and so I want to make clear, you know, a lot of times when you talk about the choir going away online, people will say, no, the choir didn't go away.

We still had a choir at my church.

And of course there were artists like Ricky Dillard and Donald Lawrence and, and, and more, right.

Hezekiah Walker, who were recording choir music.

But the fact is that the small local church that doesn't have the resources and the personnel to maintain a choir, to teach, they don't have a person who can direct as well as sing, as well as play.

It is our Champions Reset, uh, Collective, and we have our worship leader.

Here is Ricky Dillard and His Choir with God You Are Holy.

All right, we'll be back with more of the RH3 Show in just a moment.

B- all right, we'll be right back.

Knuckles was often called the godfather of house music and he won the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year in 1997.

The vocalist on the track was gospel singer, songwriter and choir director Ricky Dillard.

Another artist from New Zealand now with a track called The Sweetest Meditation.

The Sweetest Meditation by New Zealand producer and multi-instrumentalist Lord Echo, a.k.a. Mike Fabulous or Michael August.

Their music gave the church classics, including Available to You, Safe in his arms, I'm free, and my mind is made up.

Over the years, nearly a thousand singers passed through the choir, with his legacy touching future gospel figures, including Ricky Dillard and Jesse Dixon.

In 1995, Brunson and the Tommies won a Grammy Award for Through God's Eyes.

Reverend Milton Brunson proved that a gospel choir could be more than a voice.

Lamar Campbell, very influential, good friend of mine.

Ricky Dillard.

All of those have been influences on my work.

I think a lot of people compare my music to Kirk Carr or Donald Lawrence.
