Rickson Gracie

Uh, my guest today is Scott Burr, and calling Scott a writer is probably underselling what we're about to talk about.

He's a third-degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, Steve Maxwell's first black belt, and a long-term, or a long-time student of Rickson Gracie.

He's also a judo black belt instructor, editor, and author.

Uh, he's previously helped tell Richard Bresler's story in Worth Defending, worked as editor and designer on Ro-Word- Robert Drysdale's Opening Closed Guard, and now he's taken on maybe his strangest project yet.

Yes.

God, man, so many knees and shit blown out because the person holding the triangle doesn't realize once they're getting stacked or the person steps over that leg, you know,

your knees

now

Do not try to invert, people.

Let fucking go.

You know, like, my God, man.

I've seen

That's kind of crazy.

You know what I would also think about is, like, when, when they came to Rickson Gracie Academy.

Yeah.

When the Japanese dude came to Rickson Gracie Academy and, like, challenged Rickson Gracie.

Yeah.

And Rickson Gracie had to drive there, and they did an MMA fight.

No, they did a, they did a fight.

Like, it was just a fight.
