Rick Kennedy

Now, at the time...

The face of this is a guy called Rick Kennedy, who played fullback for Footscray and retired not that long before that.

So this is how, in the film Year of the Dogs, this is how it's presented this change.

And the thing that's striking, which you obviously can't get from the audio, is that Footscray is this club where...

I'm getting behind it.

The board is getting behind it.

I'd like to invite Rick Kennedy now to say a few words about what he's doing, what his group's doing and what the future holds.

G'day, guys.

Well, four umpires reported Tony Lockett for

striking Rick Kennedy.

Asked by his advocate, Bob Stewart, how many blows he landed, Lockett replied, just one.

And that his coach...

Kennedy.

So that's leading up the ground.

And I have seen this footage and He might have only landed one blow, but there were five or six thrown, which were in the close vicinity to Rick Kennedy.

86 revolves around the tribunal and injury.
