Rick Chiarelli

I could be in GR.

You know, when I was in Ottawa for nine years in the Kretien Martin governments, it was really hard to, I remember knocking on doors for Rick Chiarelli.

and or stuff like that like because we needed his support in the federal race you know so there's ways to be involved uh politically to feed that uh the political uh beasts and yeah you know if you want to be involved in Ottawa you don't have to reminiscence and I think that's a real unique Ottawa and it's a unique toronto one because same in toronto if you like politics you don't have to just serve a municipality you can jump there and you get paid by political staffers um especially senior ones get paid better than municipal counselors in ottawa um chief of staffs for example for ministers so in terms of turnout that's a problem too because if people aren't interested in the community why do you want to run if you want to make a name or a dent on society they're not interested in why you go where people are playing, you know, which is in Ottawa, that's the federal political world, right? So money, time, and just there's, there's shinier objects in Ottawa.

Yeah, go ahead.
