And as we're focusing on trying to maybe not replicate, but create our own version of that for the South Carolina region.

I know that counties like Lexington County that are in the Central South Carolina Alliance, Richland County and others have really been able to attract, perhaps even independent of some of this more renewed focus on life sciences, some of the largest life science investments that the Southeast has seen.

But beyond that, looking at rural versus more city center kind of development, I think a lot of people think of life sciences as, particularly on the research side, the clinical side, as being for downtown environments.

The Central South Carolina region is an incredible cross-section of the state itself with the strengths that come from all of these different parts of the counties that make up the region as well as the city.

I mean, there's a younger crowd around here that doesn't understand.

There was a point in time when Richland County did not sell alcohol on Sundays.

We were a part of that.

And you had to know somebody or drive to a different county.

So do y'all have something to explain that to people where they do understand that even though it's yours, it can be taken from you in no time at all?

There was a lady by the name of Hattie Frooster who used to live in Lower Richland and she had some land and she passed away and her family couldn't pay the taxes and then I went to a tax sale in Richland County and all of a sudden I saw her name go across the screen and her land was going up for sale and some big developer bought the land.

And that's the problem.

That's why I've been outspoken about this stuff about reducing or getting rid of property tax in South Carolina because I don't think I should be having to rent my property from the government for the rest of my life.

We didn't have one in 2010, did we?

Maybe in Richland County.

As you get over the top, what's the plan? What's going to happen over the next couple weeks?

These tips were either criminals trying to cut a deal for themselves or people just lying for unknown reasons.
