So again, every squad is different, and, and, and, and depending on the makeup of the squad.

The o- like, the only experience I have of being in an international squad w- was one.

There was a team meeting at that event, and it was to do with the sponsorship commitments that the club, the players would make in advance of the 2002 World Cup.

The dynamics in that room were that Staunton and Quinn, they were the only ones that had papers in their hand.

They had some kind of documents.

Yeah.

And so how big a thing did you think it was that a couple of our leaders weren't there and how might that have impacted on how the weekend actually went? Would you expect a situation where a couple of people make a decision here and everyone

else? So again, every squad is different and depending on the makeup of the squad.

Very few other people spoke much of substance and that's how the meeting went.

But what was relevant to my participation or not in the meeting, I was new, right? So I had no standing in the squad.

So people are concerned.

Mm.

Um, but when I was 15 and 16 and 17, I had a passion for football.

I was really driven.

I wanted to be a footballer, and that was the plan A, and there was no B or C or D.

That was the plan.

Um, and really fortunately, f- six weeks after the leaving cert, I got a one-way flight to London for a one-year contract with Millwall.

And, in the world of football, most people look on the outside, from the outside looking in and assume it's all success stories, 'cause you only know the success stories.
