But if I thought back in time to someone who I met, I didn't get to know all that well, but I got inspired by him.

And I met him in a lunch at Goldman Sachs for the first time.

And then we brought him back to do a seminar with our team, if you will.

My favorite things about the book is Ken's ability to find investments, to think about what it is for the investor, and do all there is to – you do everything for the investor and give the investor money back.

The way he structured his private equity, he went to Richard Rainwater in 1988 when he was at Stanford and got a job with Richard Rainwater, one of the greatest investors, took the Bass Brothers from $50 million to $5 billion.

That was Richard Rainwater over in Fort Worth.

He went off on his own.

He had an office with a lot of different people looking for deals, and he was an investor.

They didn't know what private equity was when he first started.

Didn't have a clue.

He started it with Richard Rainwater.
