The Rocky Horror Picture Show

He would have been the criminologist in the movie.
B
12:59BrianHOST
I would have... fucking shit my pants when I was a kid and if I saw Vincent Price in there I'd probably even be like oh yeah it's the greatest movie ever made because Vincent Price is in this fucking movie for everything so originally they asked Susan Sarandon to perform fully nude during the touch touch touch me scene but she basically refused even though she appeared nude in previous films before and there's a lot of there's a lot of crap basically you had a lot of people reprising the roles once again you know Tim Curry did it on stage and as well as Richard O'Brien, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell, they all reprise their roles from the stage production of this to be there in the film, which was really cool with everything that was there.
B
13:41BrianHOST
And it really shows within those characters, you know, so...
B
13:46BrianHOST
And then at the time, Barry Boswick and Susan Sarandon, they were actually dating.
B
13:51BrianHOST
And if you don't know who the other three I mentioned were, that was Riff Raff, right? That's Richard O'Brien, Patricia Quinn, who plays Magenta and Columbia played by Nell Campbell.
B
14:00BrianHOST
And then the mouth at the beginning of the movie, that is actually Patricia Quinn's.
B
14:05BrianHOST
They didn't let her sing it, but they let her mime it is what she basically did.
32 MINS LATER

And at the time, it's a bunch of nobodies.

Clearly Richard O'Brien is having a tremendous amount of fun paying tribute to and parodying those films.

... yes, it was a disaster at the box office, so that's, that's certainly true financially.
A
52:46Adam KempenaarHOST
But, but formally, we, we haven't even mentioned Richard O'Brien, who stars in the movie as, as Riff Raff and who, who wrote the original musical and, and wrote the, wrote the songs, and Jim Sharman, who directed it.
A

You watch this movie, it's clear they're quite intentional about all of their choices.

gender roles the same way so the narrator which i'm pretty sure has always been played by a man the narrator was played by rachel dratch from snl she was so quick and funny like with the callbacks and stuff there were a few she like had real quick responses or comebacks too and she'd just keep going um so she was amazing riffraff who from if you're familiar with the movie he's um Richard O'Brien, actually, who wrote the show, played Riff Raff.

With Curry's help-" The character eventually dons a corset and fishnet stockings and speaks, quote, "Like the Queen," the campy plot revolves around a square couple, Brad and Janet, played by Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon in the film, who are stranded in the rain when their car breaks down.
