I've got a client in London called, um, Richard Desmond.

He used to own...

He's a lovely guy, really lovely guy, and he introduced me to a lot of people in England.

So...

Then I got headhunted from Loop, and I went into the Daily Express newspaper, and I went in at the low-level sales, and then Richard Desmond, who owns all the, well, he did it in time, all these adult titles, and OK Magazine, he was doing really well.

Adult titles, what do you mean? Like Asian Babes.

Yeah, God.

They sold their wedding, staying up till 3:00 AM on the night of that big day deciding which pictures would be featured in OK! Magazine.

They sold everything, mostly back then to OK! Its proprietor, Richard Desmond, wrote in his autobiography about spending what felt like every Friday with the young couple at Victoria's parents' house, where they would all plot and plan the next features we'd do.

A huge check was always involved, and the Beckhams wanted the limelight, all of it, so much.

But as time went on, David and Victoria acquired more sophisticated advisors who understood the rapidly morphing potential of controlling image and brand and built a vast, diversified empire for them off the back of it.
